The situation raised a serious question: how should we continue? Our one stable point was our customer base, so we asked them about the possible way forward. Their answer was clear: if we kept delivering the same high standard of service, they would stay with us.

That was when the idea of founding a new independent company emerged. With the support of our existing customers, our technical manager László Koppányi founded the company, and KNAir Kft. began its story on 17 September 2017, when we received approval number HU.MF.0186. As founder and owner, László Koppányi became the professional heart and mind of the company. The first step was exciting and demanding, but guidance and support from many aviation professionals helped us overcome the initial difficulties.

Over the following years, KNAir Kft. developed dynamically and became known as a reliable partner in aviation services. A new era began on 22 March 2022, when we obtained our CAO approval under number HU.CAO.0186, reinforcing our commitment to the highest regulatory standards.

As business conditions changed, we adapted as well. In 2022, Zsolt Ádám became not only a new business partner, but a committed companion in reaching our shared goals. Laci’s technical expertise combined with Zsolt’s aviation and B1 experience allows us to care for our customers’ aircraft at an even higher level.

KNAir Kft. began operating at Budaörs Airport, where we worked successfully until August 2024. We then moved to our new base at Tököl Airport, giving us an even stronger foundation for providing high-quality service to our customers.

The year 2024 brought new partnerships: Airwin Flight School and László Polgár became co-owners. This partnership brings new opportunities and exciting challenges. Through these partnerships we continue expanding our services and strengthening our position in the aviation industry. The relationship between KNAir and Airwin grew out of several years of successful maintenance cooperation.
